The Atlas Beetle is one of the largest species of beetles all around the world! Coming at an average length of 5 inches and a weight of 100g, they’re absolute forces of nature––especially in the insect realm. Atlas Beetles are normally found in Southeast Asia, most commonly in Malaysia.
Atlas Beetles are wicked strong. They may look small to you, but their strength lies within their horns. Atlas Beetles are known to lift more than a whopping 850 times their body weight! For humans, that’s like lifting 8 or 9 elephants. Wouldn’t want to see this one in the wild, huh?
Measures about 10" mouth to tail and 5" wide.
