Description
Join us Saturday, July from 1-3pm for an intermediate lesson in charcoal sketching!
The focus of this class will be on perspective, contrast, depth, and proportion with a more complex still life vignette. We will discuss different tools and techniques to master those concepts for the first 30 minutes, and leave the last 90 minutes for questions and working.
Here's a list of recommended items they should bring:
- Charcoals of any shade (black, white, grey - pencil, block, or vine)
- Various erasers: kneaded/Gum, block, fine-point
- Drawing paper (black, white, or grey)
- Sharpener and sandpaper or nail file
- Blending tools: stumps, tortillions, tissues
Students are welcome to bring other materials, but these will be the primary tools used in the demonstration.
